The Hot Spots In Florida This Spring
Published by admin March 24th, 2009 in Florida Cities - What 2 See, Vacation Rental Tips & AdviceSpring break is here, and no doubt, you're scouring the Internet and your travel wish list for that perfect place to spend a week on vacation. For lots of people, Florida is the place to be in spring. But once you decide on the beautiful tropical paradise for your vacation, how do you decide where to go?
DAYTONA BEACH
Probably one of the best-known Florida vacation destinations, Daytona Beach is known for its spring break party atmosphere. Remember MTV's coverage of Daytona Beach spring break partiers? Well, MTV may be covering other locations now, but that doesn't mean people don't still flock to the beautiful East coast beach and great clubs and bars for a great music, food, and fun.
MIAMI
Miami's South Beach is one of those glamorous places to go for vacation. It's considered one of the hottest beaches in the world, and a frequent vacation spot for people in the fashion industry. So if you want a great place to visit with a great chance of spotting fashion models on the beach, Miami is your go-to spring spot.
ORLANDO
Usually, when you think of vacations in Orlando, you think of summer trips to Disney World. More and more people are stopping by to visit Mickey for spring break, though, and since Orlando is growing, there's more and more offered that isn't just "for kids." Universal Studios, Sea World, water parks, and just a short trip to nearby CoCo Beach all offer a big variety of entertainment for everybody. It's a great opportunity to do something a little different from the typical beach vacation, but still gives you easy access to the sand and sun.
KEY WEST
The southernmost point of Florida is another great spot for vacations. Getting to the island is an adventure by itself–the Florida Keys are connected to Florida by enormous bridges–and once you get there, you may feel like you're on an island in the Caribbean. Key West has a great nightlife all year long, and beaches everywhere you look. If you've been thinking about trying surfing or some other water sport, Key West is the place to do it!
FORT LAUDERDALE
If you want a vacation that focuses on the beautiful beach, Fort Lauderdale is a great choice. Its nightlife isn't as active as some other destinations, but if you want to soak up some Florida sun and cool off with some waves, Fort Lauderdale is your premier location.
PANAMA CITY
Farther north than other Florida hot spots, Panama City seems to be the new Daytona Beach. It's becoming more and more active during spring break, and even MTV stops by to show how much fun you can have with a quick trip to northern Florida. Panama City has a very rich nightlife, and there's no chance for boredom here.
Remember: Florida isn't just Disney and beaches! With all these great vacation spots up and down the peninsula, you're sure to find just what you want so your trip is one you'll remember forever.
