Are you as excited as I am? As a wine enthusiast from the Daytona Beach, FL area, I have been to the well established award winning San Sebastian Winery in St. Augustine, Florida. For some reason I have been under the impression they were the only Florida winery.
Since I have discovered otherwise, I MUST spread the word! Here is a snapshot of history…The Florida Grape Gowers Association (FGGA) was established in 1923. According to their site they were formed to ”serve farmers and hobbyists interested in growing grapes in Florida. Organized as a nonprofit corporation, the FGGA was instrumental in sponsoring research to develop grapes adapted to conditions in Florida.”
